questions
What is coaching?
There are many definitions of coaching. Simply put, coaching is unlocking a person’s potential. Coaches partner with coachees in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaches help coachees learn rather than teach them.

I'm not sure how coaching can help me and whether I need it?
People participate in coaching because they want things to be different. They are looking for change or they have some goals to reach.
Think of coaching as professionally facilitated life change - whether you are looking to write a book, start a business, make a career pivot, or have a healthier lifestyle. You may want more from life: more peace of mind, more security and more impact; and sometimes you want less: less confusion, less stress, less negativity.
If you are seeking a better quality of life - more fulfilment, better balance or a different process for reaching your goals, I'm curious to help.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching anchors on the present - visioning success and clarifying goals and actions for the future. Therapy emphasizes psychopathology and emotions to understand the present, and it works more with developing skills for managing emotions or past issues.

What is Co-Active coaching?
Co-Active coaching focuses on the coaching relationship which is collaborative, based on trust and empowered results; at its most basic, Co-Active simply means “being in action…together". Visit the Co-Active Training Institute website for more information or contact me with any questions.

How many coaching sessions would one need? How often would we meet?
We offer 6-month and 4-month intensive coaching programs and recommend meeting once every 2-3 weeks to get the most from the coaching engagement. The first session (after the discovery session) is a 2-hour long Foundation session which is focused on creating a solid foundation for the coaching relationship, and is a key step to establish the goals for the coaching and the means of measuring progress.
